Kai is pregnant! Puppies will be here soon.

It's about time. Kai's (pronounced Ky) delivery date is around the corner and I'm so excited (my daughters are even more excited). Our last litter which was our first, was a small one of 4 pups, 3 girls & 1 boy and they were all brindle. Two of them were fawn brindle and the other two were dark like their mom. The small litter made it nice being the first and so much was learned over those 8 weeks that we're excited to apply it all to this litter.

We're hoping Kai surprises us with a fawn pup this time like their dad. Although chances are slim since Kai's parents were brindle and Deuce's father was brindle too. I've been checking Kai's temp twice a day to let me know when labor is near. With the recent "heat wave" (for April anyways) she's been choosing to stay in the house where its cooler and is less active with that big belly. I can't blame her, I was the same way when I was pregnant. She's can't manage to stay comfortable for too long either and is urinating more frequently. She had me up at 2am this morning needing to go out and wanting a bit to eat....I have to admit that the anticipation is getting to me.
