I don't know about anyone else, but the heat is starting to get to everyone here and the puppies too. Well, its the humidity that makes it so miserable. I think today got up to 100 degrees. My husband seen that the temp was 101 in the shade downtown today. I'm certainly keeping my fingers crossed for a nice thunderstorm that will cool us down for a day or so. Obviously due to the heat the puppies are indoors most of the time and lately are starting to get restless. I don't blame them. I'm going to be picking up some more toys tomorrow just to change it up a bit for them. I've managed to get some adorable pics though and I have some from the other night when I think it cooled down to 80 (haha).
Aside, from the restlessness, the puppies are making great strides being house trained. We've only had 1 accident the last 2 days (knock on wood). I couldn't be happier about it. I think its mostly due to us limiting the area in the house to rooms rather than allowing them to roam anywhere.
This week all three of our daughters are in Volleyball Camp so we've been pretty busy and when at home the girls have been pretty tired, but I have to give them credit, they've been terrific puppy helpers.
Ivan is no longer with us. We traveled to Andrews Air Force Base this past Saturday and met his new owner, Theresa and her son. They are really nice people and I felt 100% comfortable with them. I know that Ivan will grow into everything that Theresa is imagining and he'll have a great life in North Carolina. My husband talked briefly with her son on Monday. He said, Ivan walked into her home as if it belonged to him. She has other pets, but wasn't bothered at all by them. I can't wait to see pics of him from time to time and see how big he gets. My bet is he'll be as big or bigger than his father.
Mocha will be with us for a couple more weeks when her new family will be traveling from Wisconsin to pick her up. We look forward to meeting them. We're very excited for them to see how well behaved and sweet their newest mastiff is. Its been over a week (I think) since they named her and she's been doing great learning it. She comes to it 90% of the time. I have to say it fits her well. Her colors remind me of mocha.
Have a good night and enjoy the photos.
